A World in a Click
Spain is one of Europe’s most colorful countries. Many tourists have already appreciated this wonderful country’s unrivaled culture and architecture. One of the most important Spanish cities is Valencia. The city has been a magnet for international students and tourists for years. It’s a lively place all year round!
The first thing curious tourists want to do when they visit Valencia is to walk around the city and see life from the inside. One of Valencia’s exciting and famous places is the City of Arts and Sciences. This is a modern, high-tech complex that was founded in 1998. It consists of five buildings.
Also within the City of Arts and Sciences is the beautiful white-walled Assut de l’or bridge, whose tower is the highest point in the city at 125 meters in height, and a covered area called L’Agora, where various sporting and cultural events are held.
But keep in mind that there is a fee to enter each building. So if you would like to visit the museum or the aquarium, you can find the necessary information about the program and schedules on their websites. Tickets can be purchased either online or on the premises. Some places sell combined tickets to visit several places, for example, so that you can visit both the Queen Sofia Palace of Arts and L’Hemisfèric simultaneously.
Even if you will not discover the inside of either of these buildings, the Valencian venue is well worth a visit. Beautiful picnic grounds surround the City of Arts and Sciences, with jogging and cycling paths. Young artists perform near the Science Museum at weekends. It’s like a green oasis in the middle of a modern city.
In the evening, the City of Arts and Sciences buildings are lit mesmerizingly and beautifully, and many photographers take great pictures. There are also several playgrounds for children, plus fountains and shallow ponds. And outside L’Hemisfèric, children and their parents can launch radio-controlled boats.
Recently, the place has attracted tourists and film and TV series producers. For example, in 2015, the complex was used for the filming of “Tomorrowland,” in 2017 for “Doctor Who,” and in 2020, the third season of “Westworld” was filmed here.
The “City of Arts and Sciences” suits all types of visitors on all budgets. To summarise, it’s an excellent place for both cultural and family holidays. Take advantage of this location in Valencia!
