Where can I go skiing in the UAE?
As a general rule, skiing in Middle Eastern countries is not possible due to weather conditions. However, Dubai has an indoor ski resort called Ski Dubai, where you can ski and do ice skating. You can also watch cute penguins here. The center is at Sheikh Zayed Rd – Al BarshaAl Barsha 1.
Which floor can I climb to at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai?
Dubai’s skyline can be admired from this skyscraper on the 148th floor, where the Top SKY viewing platform is located. There are two other viewing platforms on the 124th and 125th floors of At the Top. To reserve tickets for a visit, please visit Burj Khalifa’s official website.
Is alcohol allowed in Iran?
In Iran, similarly to other Middle Eastern countries, selling and consuming alcohol is illegal. It is also forbidden to take it with you on a trip to this country. If someone offers you a drink, be aware that it may be counterfeit and illegal. It is better to see the local sights or taste the Iranian cuisine.
Is it hot in the UAE in summer?
Summer in the UAE lasts from June 21 to September 22. Temperatures are extremely high during this period, with daytime temperatures in July reaching up to 50 °C and 45 °C in August temperatures. If you can’t stand high temperatures, consider visiting this exciting country in other months.
How to visit the ancient city of Petra?
The ancient city of Petra is in the South of Jordan, near the town of Wadi Musa. Petra is fenced off, and the entrance to the site is not free. You can get here by bus or sightseeing bus from Aqaba, Amman, or Eilat. There are also frequent organized bus tours from other nearby cities. Alternatively, you can get there by taxi or minibus (from Aqaba). If you are staying at a hotel in Wadi Musa, you can walk to Petra.
Besides humans, Petra itself is open to camels, horses, and donkeys, with or without carts. You can find out how much the tickets cost on the official website of the ancient city of Petra. Keep in mind that the most remarkable and rainiest months to visit this city are December and January. In summer (late June to September), it can get sweltering.
Can I Tax-Free in Jordan?
Yes, you can. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Tax-Free (TAG Tax-Free). If you are a non-resident, you can get a tax refund of up to 16% of the purchase price when you check out. Keep in mind that the shop where you purchase the goods must cooperate with TAG Tax-Free, and the amount of tax on your purchase invoice must be more than JD 50. There are also specific rules and conditions when applying for Tax-Free in Jordan, which you can read about on the official TAG Tax-Free website.
What is the currency used in Lebanon?
The official currency in Lebanon is the Lebanese Pound. Some places may also accept US Dollars (but you may get your change back in the local currency).
Are the beaches in Israel accessible?
Most beaches in Israel are free and covered with fine yellow sand. They also often have the beach infrastructure. In some areas of the country, there are also stony beaches, but they are much smaller. As for beach clubs, as in many other countries, you must pay to enter them.
Is it possible to travel from Dubai (UAE) to Muscat (Oman) by bus?
Yes, it is possible and relatively easy. Several companies operate such flights. One of the trusted ones is Mwasalat. Buses to Muscat from this company depart from the following locations in Dubai: Abu Hail Bus Station (07.30, 15.30, 23.00); Rashidiya Metro Bus Station (08.00, 16.00, 23.30); Airport Terminal 2 (07.45, 15.45, 23.15). Please note that you will have to wait for 1-2 hours at the border and pay the local customs duty in local currency only. Do not forget to apply for your visa in advance if required. And take care of your return ticket in advance, or you may have to fly, as it happened to us.
When is the "Hala Febrayer "Festival in Kuwait?
The Hala Febrayer festival takes place in Kuwait almost every February every year. This festival attracts many tourists from neighboring countries. During the festival, one can experience Arabic culture, music, and gastronomy in a relatively safe and colorful way. There are fireworks and concerts galore.
Do I need a visa to visit Iran?
Citizens of many countries need a visa to visit Iran also people coming from Middle Eastern countries. You can quickly get it at the consulate of Iran or upon arrival at the airport.
How to get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi?
You can get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi by taxi, rental car, or bus. The journey time will be around 1hr 30 min to 2hr 30 min. Buses leave from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station (Bus No. 100) and Ibn Battuta Bus Station (Bus No. 101).
